Sidescan® Predict
AVA’s Sidescan Predict is a detection sensor system that uses ultrasonic technology to predict if a collision is likely to occur. It can detect objects in under 200 milliseconds and its learning mode prevents false alarms.
Description
The new proposed regulations for DVS are coming into place in October 2024. This states that HGVs with a DVS rating of two stars or lower must have a DVS Progressive Safety System. This system includes MOIS, which alerts drivers of any hazards in front of the vehicle. Additionally, a nearside detection system is required to identify vulnerable road users accurately without producing false alarms for static objects.
